Jameus, Land named Sault College Freshii Athletes of the Week

Cougars Men’s Hockey player Nick Jameus and Women’s Hockey player Materia Land have been named Sault College’s Freshii Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 23^rd, 2025.

Jameus, a second-year Business Accounting student from Sault Ste. Marie, ON was a catalyst for the Cougars at their regional tournament. In his return to action, Jameus managed two goals in two games, helping push the Cougars to the semi-finals. Great work Nick!

Land, a second-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student, was an offensive leader for the Cougars as they captured the CCWHA championship. Land scored 3 goals and added two assists over her three games, including the championship-clinching goal. Way to go Materia!
