Gallivan, Valle named Freshii Athletes of the Week
Men’s baseball players Jayden Valle & Carter Gallivan have been named Sault College’s Freshii Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 29th, 2024.
Valle, a 2nd year general arts & science student from London, Ontario was a key contributor to the Cougars baseball team over the weekend. Alle recorded 3 hits, 2 RBIs & 2 walks across 4 games. His biggest hit came when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to break a 1-1 tie versus Centennial, cashing the winning run. Great work Jayden!
Gallivan, a 2nd year Business Administration student from Sault Ste. Marie, ON took the mound versus Centennial in the first of their double-header. Carter pitched 6.1 innings, throwing 102 pitches in a 3-2 victory over the Colts. He recorded 4 strikeouts while picking up his second win of the season. Way to go Carter!
