Rudge, Gallivan named Freshii Athletes of the Week
Men’s baseball players Dylan Rudge & Carter Gallivan have been named Sault College’s Freshii Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 22nd, 2024.
Rudge, a 2nd year Fitness & Health Promotion student from Tecumseh, ON, was disciplined and efficient at the plate over the weekend. Rudge recorded 2 hits, 7 walks, 1 RBI, and 1 stolen base, and scored 2 runs offensively. On the defensive side, he caught all four games, throwing out 2 runners and blocking countless pitches. Great work Dylan!
Gallivan, a 2nd year Business Administration student from Sault Ste. Marie, ON pitched the opening game of the weekend for the Cougars and led the team to their first victory of the season. Gallivan went 6 innings allowing only 3 hits, walking two, and striking out 5 batters. Way to go Carter!
